Our own production produces high-quality, customized current- and temperature limiters. For standard solutions, we also offer a wide range of stock products.
Our current- and temperature limiters are used wherever protection against excess temperature is required or necessary and automatic restarting of the device to be protected after subsequent cooling is undesirable or not permitted.
Current and Temperature Limiter Y
Our own plant produces high quality, customized current- and temperature limiters; the functionality of every single switch is multiple tested and thus 100% reliability is guaranteed. The switches are VDE or UL certified.
We offer a wide range of commercial goods for standard solutions.
The current- and temperature limiter is used wherever, on one hand, protection against overtemperatures as well as against overcurrents is required, and on the other hand, automatic switch-on function of the device to be protected - subsequent to a follow-on cooling down period - is prohibited or undesired.
With Current and Temperature Limiters, attention is paid not only to a possible switch-off temperature but also to an increased current supply, which has been defined beforehand with the help of a resistor. If the limit is reached, a bimetal disc is heated up to a snap temperature so that the switching contact is opened. This leads to a power interruption.
To switch the unit on again, it must first be disconnected from the mains voltage. This is because the bimetal disc does not spring back on its own because heat is generated by the applied mains voltage by means of a resistor.
In a coffee machine, everything revolves around the correct temperature. In the event of a malfunction, this temperature may be exceeded. If this is the case, the machine switches off. In this case, however, the user must also disconnect the power supply before the machine can start to cool down.
